What does this mean?
As online video creators & bloggers, this is a main goal for many people. Just google ‘custom youtube channel’, you’ll find many people STILL waiting even with many more followers than we have that are in the queue for their own channel. Youtube used to allow this by default but then upped the ante to require a minimum for a period of time with some additional rules. We finally accomplished that around Christmas time but it wasn’t until today that our youtube became officially offered its own channel! This really helps with ease of finding us, sharing, and is a more “prestigious” youtube social channel that reflects our dedication!

That’s one small step for McCorkle’s, one large step towards a future influencer & even more importantly a hopeful path towards making some bucks towards the kids’ college fund! Everything we do here at McCorkleLife is planned to support our kiddos 529 plans towards college because school is just too pricey and we’d like to retire before 70 and if we grow enough, maybe it will take over like Ryan’s world did so his parents didn’t have to work for THE MAN anymore.

So now what?

We have many more videos planned, some videos we had in work that we haven’t finished, and even a second Christmas music video we never finished of Carol of the Bells that we may wait to release until Christmas this year. Raising kids is so much fun and we love our fam so we are just too excited to have a specific channel to do it!

Please continue to help us get our channel known so we can spread some happiness through our silly videos & grow our channel too! We do very much appreciate all the love and followers we have already, we know I believe every single one of you and you’re family to us! That was the whole point of our ‘McCorkleLife’ was to share our family with you since we’ve lost touch with many of you through moves as months and years quickly pass.

McCorkleLife – from family website to online apparel store & now is a Woman owned L.L.C.!
In 2020 perhaps you didn’t know but our little family website had a blow up of online sales. This was more troublesome than it was a “hoorah money making” because we didn’t know HOW. We actually took a hit on our initial sales, which I guess happens to many, but we learned and are setup now! Missy and I had to scramble to find the best approach to make the cheapest path for some custom apparel that we were passionate about, and meanwhile we had to incorporate as an L.L.C. in order to obtain wholesale pricing so it was anywhere near affordable.

Now, with Missy’s help, we also now have a T.P.T. (transaction privelege tax) that allows us to purchase wholesale to pass savings to our friends/customers and really opened the doors for us. 2020 was a whirlwind of being busy not only with a day job and kids, but then distributors and a living room full of orders to mail out. We’ve streamlined quite a bit since then and finally have things figure out, so again – thanks for being patient with us!

We did go a bit crazy in creating our own apparel and artwork. Here’s some of the things we came up with this year!

We’re now an Influencer/Collaborator:
So the next steps.. Our good friend Mandy Rena gave us some advice on how to blog & become an influencer last year during some photoshoots that we were so blessed to have her capture and we’re diving in head first. We will openly take advice from anyone willing to show us the ropes, otherwise we’re slowly growing this end of our McCorkleLife small biz.

We were blessed already to have had our first few collaborations as micro influencers (PrincetonPopcorn & SuperUndies) and we hope to do much more for small businesses in the future since we’re a small business ourselves! If you’re not familiar with this term, ‘collaborator/influencer’ is someone on the internet/social media that is able to share a product with others to encourage people to purchase. Thus far, we have only collaborated in exchange for product because 2020 was rough enough for everyone, but one day we want to work our way up to funded collaborations to again, grow that 529 account for the kids!
